This is a recipe that I made with my classmate Myrthe. It's not possible to get the video on the website, I'm sorry for that!
This is a recipe for 30 chickenbreads It will take about an hour and a half to make it.
3 Chicken filets
To wash the chicken, you need vinegar and salt.
Not to much, just enough to wash it. This will take about 6 minutes.
To marinade it, you need: Sambal, a chicken cube, some turmeric, and a little bit of olive oil.
After you marinaded it, you have to bake the chicken. You can use butter and oil to bake it, special baking oil is also an option.
Bake it for about 8-10 minutes. You have to flip the chicken every 2 minutes.
After that, you have to pick the chicken, this will take about 10 minutes
Now you have to bake the chicken once again. First you have to cut 1 union and a litte piece of garlic.Throw this in the pan. Let it warm up a little. After that, you have to put the chicken in to the pan. We are going to bake it with other spices this time. Those are:
- Sereh
- Kentjoer
- Laos
- Ginger
- Seldery
And last but not least, a little bit of salt.
For all the spices that you use, you need one tablespoon.
Mix it up a little in the pan. Then the only thing that you’ve got left to do, is filling the chicken in to the puff pastry.
Put them in the oven for about 25 minutes.
And then…. ENJOY!
This is the script:
Myrthe: Hello, today we're going to make something different.
Chaya: We're going to make a recipe that's self-made by my mom.
Myrthe: We're going to show you the ingredients
Chaya: and learn you how you can make this quick but delicious meal.
Myrthe: It’s great for parties,
Chaya: or when your friends are coming over. But first we’ll start with the preparation.
Chaya: We’ve got the chicken,
Myrthe: and we’re going to wash it with vinegar mixed with salt.
Myrthe: So we just going to poor it in (the bowl), make sure that everything is under.
Chaya: So now you can mix it up.
Myrthe: Yeah, so uhh, what do we need… a spoon or…
Chaya: Your hands, I guess…
Myrthe: So uhh okay, mix it up a little.
Chaya: Make sure that the chicken is completely… uhh.. make sure that the chicken is completely faded in with salt, salt mixed with vinegar. Than now we’re going to leave this for like five minutes, and after that, we’ll come back to you.
Myrthe: So we’ll be right back!
Myrthe: Now we’re going to poor out the mix of vinegar mixed with salt out of the bowl, and rinse it with water, to make sure there’s none of the vinegar mixed with salt left on the chicken.
Chaya: Next thing we’re going to do is to marinade the chicken. So I’ll put it in an another bowl, and then I’m going to marinade it with a chicken cube, some turmeric and last but not least the sambal. Make sure it’s not to much of it, or else it will get to spicy. After I marinated the chicken, I’m going to need a little bit of olive oil.
Myrthe: Poor it in.
Chaya: Thank you!
Myrthe: You’re welcome!
Chaya: Now we’re going to leave this for like two minutes, and I’ll go set up everything to bake it.
Myrthe: So next up we’re going to poor in the butter mixed with oil in the pan. Make sure that the mix of butter and oil are warm enough
Chaya: And after you’ve noticed the first reaction of the butter you can place the chicken right into the pan.
You can see that the butter is already reacting. So now i'll put the chicken into the pan.
Myrthe: So we’ve baked the chicken in a frying pan, and the next thing to do is to pick the chicken.
Chaya: Next up we’re going to prepare the unions and the garlic, to bake the chicken once again. This is the first result.
Myrthe: So we’ve cut the unions and the garlic, and just put it in the frying pan.
Chaya: The first thing we need is Laos. Ginger, Sereh, Kentjoer and Seldery. And a little bit of salt.
Myrthe: We’re going to cut the puff-pastry into two pieces, and we’re going to fill it with the chicken
Myrthe: So the chicken breads are done,
Chaya: So the only thing we’ve got left is to bake them in the oven.
Myrthe: We’re going to bake them at 200 degrees celcius.
Chaya: So, this is the result.
Myrthe: Delicious meal!! OOOOH NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
